Nancy McKeon | The Facts of Life
Nancy McKeon, who rose to fame as Jo Polniaczek on the NBC comedy The Facts of Life in the 1980s, is now a proud mother of two and looks better than ever. She’s still working in the entertainment industry and has even flaunted her dancing abilities on television.
Since she was a child, Nancy McKeon has been a celebrity. Her elder brother, Philip McKeon, began auditioning at an early age as well. When their mother could not locate a nanny for Nancy, a casting agent got interested in her. McKeon then auditioned for a position in the second season of The Facts of Life, a spin-off of Diff’rent Strokes that premiered in 1979. In 1980, she made her screen debut as the rebellious tomboy Jo Polniaczek. She continued to play the character for the next seven seasons of the show until it was canceled in 1988. To date, among Nancy’s characters, Jo remains to receive the most credit.
