Mary Badham |To Kill a Mockingbird

Mary Bedham had her taste of the limelight when she was cast as Jean Louise “Scout” Finch for the film, To Kill a Mockingbird. To her credit, her performance in the film earned her a nomination at the Academy Award, which proved that she had acting skills. But the actress had another idea in mind, and that was to leave acting instead. But before she did bid Hollywood goodbye, Badham starred in several movies like This Property is Condemned, Let’s Kill Uncle, and Our Very Own. She also got guest roles in Dr. Kildare and Twilight Zone.

You might think that once a movie is finished, the actor will move on to another project. Although Badham found work in other fields, she is also actively promoting the film and the book, To Kill a Mockingbird. Her main goal was to inspire other students when it comes to being compassionate to others. Today, Badham works as an art restorer, and she is also a coordinator for college testing.
