Marc Copage | Julia
Marc Copage was one of the first persons of color who appeared on television back in 1968. He was tapped for the role of Corey Baker for the TV show, Julia. The show was the first of its kind to feature an African American star in a new role. What made this program famous was the fact that it tackled several issues, like racism. But Copage has stated that there were other reasons as to why this show became controversial. He mentioned that it was his TV mom that bore the brunt of the negative feedback of the show.
The lure of the limelight wasn’t enough for Copage to remain in the entertainment industry. He needed a steady source of income which he found as a leasing agent plus as assistant manager of an apartment community. The actor doesn’t have to worry about personal loans since he has found success in his choice of work.
