Jodie Foster | Taxi Driver

When Hollywood introduced Jodie Foster as one of its pioneers, faces from the industry cheered and nodded in accord. She had persevered through many stages. It was incredible to consider that she began her career as a child actress before achieving a substantial degree as a notable adult actress.

She read at the age of three, but she had little trouble landing her first acting role in Mayberry R.F.D. She succeeded in squeezing in as many as eight other productions in the first half of the 1970s but rose to international fame in the critically acclaimed Taxi Driver. She remarked that receiving her first Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 1977 was the first time she learned the true meaning of acting. She devoured four more silver screens in 1976, and her name became more popular as a result. In addition to performing, Foster has worked as a successful film director and producer in recent years. She already has over 90 acting and directing credits under her belt, and she shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
