Actress Brittany Ashton Holmes played the iconic role and still goes by the name “Darla” because she captivated a large audience with her charm and wit back then. She may be that cute little girl in the movie, but now she’s grown up to be a gorgeous young lady.
In the late ’90s, Holmes shifted her focus from acting to education and reportedly pursued a degree in political science. According to some reports, she worked in Starbucks for a while. The former child star has retired from acting, but the actress once made a brief comeback in 2014 with the comedy We Hate Paul Revere. Although her career was relatively short, it was pretty fruitful as she won a few nominations and awards.
