Brooke Shields | Pretty Baby
Brooke Shields was initially a young child model who ventured into acting. She gained critical acclaim at only 12 years old for her leading role in the 1978 film Pretty Baby, for which she garnered widespread notoriety. Shields continued to work as a model into her late teenage years and appeared in several dramas of the ’80s, including The Blue Lagoon and Endless Love.
In 1983, the model turned actress decided to suspend her Hollywood career to attend Princeton University, where she obtained her degree in Romance Languages. She returned to acting in the 1990s and starred in minor roles in movies and sitcoms. Now 56 years old, Shields continues to be active in the entertainment scene and has been a guest co-host of Today on NBC. She also recurred as Sheila Porter during season 19 of Law & Order: SVU.
