Jane Lynch, an award-winning actress, is no stranger to the film industry. She won our hearts as Sue Sylvester in the hit show Glee, which aired ten years ago. Given her fame, we won’t be doubting her for shelling out $70,000 for her modest investment. Lynch decided she wanted a four-legged friend and a home to share after shooting the comedy Best in Show in 2000. She then got her first puppy and looked for a two-bedroom cabin on a double lot in L.A.’s bohemian Lauren Canyon neighborhood.
Unlike the dog, the home was not made to last. After a decade, it suffered from serious structural problems, forcing Lynch to search for a new home but she didn’t leave her property. Instead, she demolished the house almost entirely. She built a new 2,378-square-foot, two-story home with modernized amenities and an additional upstairs space that “still had the spirit of the original house.”
