They are responsible for most of the scientific mixes we see in many grocery labels, such as the nutritional facts and other essential nutrients in our food.

It is one of the most stable jobs out there in the market and the number of food scientists in the market today is less than the sheer demand for these kinds of workers. To become one takes a lot of effort and time. First of all, you need to get a college education and end up with a diploma in either food science, chemistry, or microbiology. Entry-level Food Scientists with little to no experience can expect to make anywhere between $40,000 to $50,000 per year or $19 to $24 per hour.
