On the other hand, McDermott was married to Mary Jo Eustace for more than a decade and they had a child together. Both Spelling and McDermott broke off their marriages and later married each other in 2006. Spelling wrote in her memoir in 2009 that meeting McDermott was love at first sight and that she didn’t regret it though she knew she was married. For her, McDermott was worth the investment.

Their romance on screen was, to a huge degree, so intense that they developed an off-screen relationship. Northern Lights is one of those movies that causes marriages to end. It is a television film released in 2009 that was directed by Mike Robe. The show was where Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes — the stars of the film — met and fell in love. At the start of the film, both were married to each of their partners. Cibrian was married to American television personality Brandi Glanville while Rimes had been married to her former backup dancer Dean Sheremet for seven years. The relationship between Cibrian and Rimes on set was what caused their separation from their respective spouses — it was, of course, made successful with their attorney’s help. Eddie Cibrian married LeAnn Rimes in 2011 and they have been living together ever since. LeAnn Rimes is the stepmother of Cibrian’s two sons with Brandi Glanville.
